A great, all-star cast collaborated on this commission, set in the foothills above Stanford University. Florence Knoll (b. 1917) designed the interiors of the Center for Advanced Study in Behavioral Sciences, Stanford; William Wurster (1895-1973) of Wurster, Bernardi and Emmons, led the architectural design team. Thomas D. Church (1902-1978) executed the landscape design; Church acted as a campus landscape consultant at Stanford University in the 1960s; it received an Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA), 1956;
