D.W. Griffith's Intolerance set

The set for director D.W. Griffith's (1875-1948) epic silent film, "Intolerance: Love's Struggle Through the Ages" (1916), stood for a number of years after production wrapped up, influencing a taste for Babylonian exoticism in Los Angeles, CA.

Demolished; The set is no longer extant, although portions of it were moved to the new Grauman Chinese Theater complex;
