The Los Angeles Times said of this development in 1955: “Three-bedroom, two-bath homes have been selling for as low as $81.50 total monthly payments, including principal, interest, taxes and fire insurance, the [real estate development] firm states. Among the features are built-in ranges and ovens in decorator colors, garbage disposals, Bermuda roofs, and two-car garages. The tract which is located one block west of Orange on 5th Ave. and Louise in Azusa, is improved with sidewalks and city sewers.” (See “Last of Homes Being Sold at Azusa Project,” Los Angeles Times, 11/20/1955, part V, p. 26.)
