Building History

As noted in The Sanitary Engineer and Construction Record, a New York publication, J.W. Strong commissioned the architectural firm of Strange and Gottschalk to design a timber-frame building on Main Street in Los Angeles, CA, to cost $7,000. It was to be built by day laborers rather than a specific building contractor.
