Building History

Seattle architects Bystrom and Greco collaborated on the Zech House with Arthur Morgan, who did the interior design and William G. Teufel, who was responsible for the landscape design. Stern and Towne were the mechanical engineers and Tom Paulsen, the building contractor.

The Faulstich Family sold the residence to Henning and Trudi Hagen for $2,209,000 on 11/30/2015.

Building Notes

The Zech House was the American Institute of Archtiects (AIA)-Seattle Times Home-of-the-Month: 04/1959.

According to the King County Assessor in 2019, the Zech House occupied a 13,900-square-foot (0.32-acre) lot. The house contained 3,860 square feet, 1,160 on floor one, and 1,540 on floor two. A finished basement added another 1,160 square feet.
