Overview
Operated by the Takahashi Brothers and the Anraku Company, the Kimono Store sold kimonos as well as Japanese embroidered goods at 557 South Broadway in 1913. (See Los Angeles, California, City Directory, 1913, p. 587.)
Demolition
The current building at 559 South Broadway, the Sun Drug Company Building, was built c. 1920, meaning that the building housing the Kimono Store in 1913, had to have been torn down before 1919 or so.
