Overview

In 1864, the City of Paris Dry Goods Store operated at 118 Front Street in the central business district of Portland, OR. It was located in a "fireproof" brick building on the corner of Front and Morrison. Jacob Mayer was the proprietor. (See Portland, Oregon Directory, 1864, p. 84.) The store may have been located in what was called "Vaughn's Brick Building" at that corner.

Building Notes

Dr. C.W. Kirchner, "German Physician, Surgeon and Accoucheur," had his office on the second floor of Vaughn's Brick Building in 1864. (See Kirchner advertisement, Portland, Oregon Directory, 1864, p. 76.)
