Building History

The congregation of Saint Andrew's Presbyterian Church originally consisted of 137 people who first convened on 10/04/1959 at the Hilldside House, a nearby residential institution assisting those with "...developmental disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, autism and epilepsy." Early services from 10/1959 until 06/1961 were held at the Hillside House while a new church was being erected. The first building completed in 06/1961 consisted of a first sanctuary and a fellowship hall. This early facility was known as "Morgan Hall," named after Dale Morgan, the congregation's third minister, and its first female minister. The group also finished its Christian education buildings in 06/1961. (See Saint Andrew's Presbyterian Church.org, "Church History," accessed 12/14/2018.)

Alteration

Saint Andrew's Christian education buildings were enlarged in 1963.

The congregation completed a larger sanctuary, choir room and offices in 1972.

The Saint Andrew's community undertook alterations to the sanctuary in 1996, and expanded the fellowship hall. An additional wing housing offices was also completed at this time. (See Saint Andrew's Presbyterian Church.org, "Church History," accessed 12/14/2018.)
