Acoustical consultants were Robert B. Newman of Bolt, Beranek and Newman in association with Theodore Schultz. Charles Bassett was the lead SOM Partner on the design. Davies Symphony Hall opened in 09/1980;

Administration, (415) 552-8000 (2004); in 2010, Davies Hall seated 2,741 patrons.

Acoustical alterations were made to the interior in 1992;
