Santa Monica, CA

Overview

The Pacific Electric Railway Company maintained this Mission Revival Style depot in Santa Monica for the use of passengers on its Red Car Line. The building featured a gable roof, the ends of which were adorned with scalloped parapets. Another scalloped wall dormer rose from the middle of the gable. Each parapeted wall featured an arched attic vent. The exterior was stuccoed, with an inset porch supported by an arched colonnade that could shelter passengers waiting for trains.
