Overview

This new hospital replaced the huge, 1923 predecessor at 1200 North State Street damaged in the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. The new facility consisted of three connected high-rise buildings: a clinic, in-patient care center and a diagnostic and treatment section. The whole had a capacity of 600 beds, capable of treating many injured following a natural disaster.
