Overview

The headquarters of the People's National Bank Company of Washington was at 1414 4th Avenue in 1953. (See Seattle, Washington, City Directory, 1953, p. 1110.) The bank continued to operated at this facility in 1958. (See Seattle, Washington, City Directory, 1958, p. 242.)

Building Notes

At this time, it had six branch locations in the city, North Seattle, South Seattle, Dexter and Broad Streets, West Seattle, First Hill, and 1st Avenue. In 1953, Joshua Green, Sr., served as the bank's Chairman, and Joshua Green, Jr., its President. Management was composed of one executive vice-president and twelve vice-presidents at this time. Both Greens served in the same capacities in 1955.

In 1955, the bank had seven branches and one added department in its system: the Dexter and Broad Branch (525 Broad Street), 1st Avenue Branch (801 1st Avenue), North Seattle Branch (6300 Roosevelt Way), West Seattle Branch (4213 West Alaska), South Seattle Branch (6520 4th Avenue South), First Hill Branch (1201 Madison Street), Magnolia Branch (2426 32nd Avenue West), and a Motorized Banking Department (90 Columbia Street).. By 1958, the People's National Bank had nine branches in Ballard, West Seattle (drive-in), Skyway Park, North Seattle, West Seattle, South Seattle, First Hill, Dexter and Broad Streets and 1st Avenue. (See Seattle, Washington, City Directory, 1958, p. 242.)
