Overview

The Majestic Theatre #1 in San Francisco was in operation from 1904-1906. In 1904, the address was listed as 1243 Market Street (See San Francisco, California, City Directory, 1904, p. 1183). In 1905, the address was recorded at 1281 Market Street, and the theatre was listed as being inside the Majestic Building. (See San Francisco, California, City Directory, 1905, p. 1189.) It maintained a schedule of musical artists in 1906 (see San Francisco Call advertisement of 02/12/1906) and was gone by 1907. It was destroyed in the San Francisco Earthquake of 04/18/1906.
