Overview

In the summer of 2011, the Seattle interior architecture firm of Chin-Ley/Reche Associates teamed with New York-based architects Arias Architecture, to design a Manhattan location for Beecher's Handmade Cheese, a firm that opened in Seattle's Pike Place Market in 2003. The firm was headed by Kurt Beecher Dammeier, who decided to open a New York City location following a 2008 visit to the city.
