Overview

According to Jack Carpenter's web site "The Unforgotten Man," William J. Carpenter's grandson, this was the first house designed by the architect when he was 25 years old. It was a Queen Anne Revival Style residence composed of diverse forms sheathed in painted shingles. The house featured two main outdoor living areas, including a large, covered front porch and a covered second-story porch. The house also had two distinctive turrets adding to the house's formal variety.

Building Notes

The Currie House contained 2,584 square feet, and occupied 0.28 acres. It sold for $66,500 in 2014, in a bank foreclosure sale. It was listed on theSpokane Historic Registry.
