The Stevens Building was located on the south side of Pike Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues.

Building History

The Seattle Times indicated that the start of construction had begun on the Stevens Apartment House by Spring 1914. It wrote: ""Excavation work has been completed for the five-story and basement apartment house to be completed for five-story and basement apartment house to be completed for Mrs. Grace D. Stevens on the south side of Pike Street, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. The building will occupy an alley; corner, 60x110 feet, and will cost approximately $65,000. There will be fifty-one two and three-bedroom apartments, all equipped with down-to-date improvements. The ground floor will be devoted to stores. William P. White is the architect and John Davis & Co. managers of the building." (See "Building Active in Pike Street," Seattle Times, 04/05/1914, p. 14.)
