Building History

In its issue of 02/25/1905, the Seattle Times reported: "Architect W.P. White is taking figures on a 7-room, story and a half cottage for B.E. Gates, to be erected on the southeast corner of 12th Avenue and Aloha Street. The Swiss style of architecture has been followed in designing the house. The hall and dining room will be timbered and the total cost of the building will be about $3,000." (See "Real Estate and Building Review," Seattle Times, 02/25/1905, p. 7.)

In recent years, Edward and Karen Bassett owned the house until 07/24/1997, when they sold it to Kurt B. and Anne A. Kroger. The Krogers resided here from 1997 until 2003, when sold the house to Alexander Rudensky and Ludmila Akolzina. They stayed 8 years, selling on 05/02/2011 t0 Laura Kates and David Camenisch.
