The architectural firm John Rushmore and Associates designed an addition for the Bank of the West's Bellevue office in 1968; it grew from a 2,200-square-foot facility when first built in 1965 to almost 8,000 square feet three years later. In 1968, the bank occupied the entire ground floor and two-thirds of the second floor of the two-story building. At a cost of $105,000, it added two new entryways, two drive-in windows, a new mortgage and credit department, offices for executives, meeting rooms and an employee lounge. For this addition, Rod Johnson of Bellevue was the building contractor and Arthur Morgan and Associates did the bank's interior design.
