An article in the newspaper Builder and Contractor stated in its 03/27/1895 issue: "Bloomington, seven miles from San Bernardino, is to have a new congregational church, in the old colonial style of architecture. Eugene Weston was in Los Angeles last week changing the plans; the foundation is already laid." (p. 1)
