A Wedgwood branch of the Seattle First National Bank was first announced by Chief Executive Officer Lawrence E. Arnold in 1961, as one of four new Seattle branches to be built the following year. (See "Seattle First Has Record Year," Seattle Times, 01/18/1961, p. 15.) This later, probably second, branch dated 10 years later, and occupied a 26,355-square-foot (.61 acre) site, and contained 6,147 square feet.
