S. Charles Lee produced the remarkable Zig Zag Moderne design of the Fox Phoenix, and designed other CA theatres for the Fox chain in Long Beach (1924-1925), Redondo Beach (1928), Bakersfield (1929-1930), and Beverly Hills (1929-1930). The 1,796-seat Phoenix location opened on 07/30/1931.

Demolished; the theatre's property was auctioned off in 1975.
