The Engineering News Record reported in its 01/27/1921 edition that a building contract had been let by architect F. Hudson to two firms, Edwards, Wildey and Dixon, and J.F. Atkinson, to build a $112,700 school in Montebello, CA. The school was to be one-story, 110 x 300 feet in size, composed of hollow tile construction with a concrete foundation and floor. (See "Prices and Contracts Awarded," Engineering News Record, v. 86 no. 4, 01/27/1921, p. 51.) It is not clear if the article meant G.F. Atkinson, who operated a construction firm in CA at about the same time.
