In 2013, the UW Capital Projects Office planned to undertake a renovation of the Nordstrom Tennis Center; its web site detailed the plans: "Replace the roofs and provide safe access at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. The single-ply flat roofs, the sloped metal roofs, and the metal sidewalls below the sloped roofs will be replaced. Ladders, anchors with catenary lines, and parapets will be provided for safe access. The existing parapet above the main entry will be braced.
