Building History

The Seattle architect Louis Svarz (1886-1976) designed this building for the Puget Sound Notion Company, a wholesaler of notions (sewing accessories), which in 1901 occupied space #314 in the Washington Building. In 1901, Albert B. Kohn managed the business. Svarz designed this new retail space for the company on 10/03/1929, and it was completed in 1930.
