Tacoma Hall served as the first meeting place of the Washington Territorial Supreme Court; following statehood in 1889, the Washington Supreme Court (1890-1891) also utilized the hall in 1890-1891.

According to an aerial drawing done of Olympia, WA, in 1879, the Tacoma Hall was a gable-roofed, two-story building, probably of wood-frame construction. The meeting hall, demolished, stood on the southeast corner of 4th Street and Columbia Street. The hall had many names over time, including the Olympia Building, Tacoma Lodge, and Knights of the Good Templars Hall.

It appears that Tacoma Hall was renovated into a flat-roofed building by the early 20th century. It had a notable fanlight on its end wall.
