Joseph Santilli, an Italian immigrant, opened this restaurant on 8th Avenue between Pike Street and Union Street in the early 1920s. It operated until about 1932. Santilli went on to run the Italian Garden Restaurant that operated from c. 1933-1971 at its location at 1413 5th Avenue.
