This replacement for the first Manette Bridge (built in 1930) was completed on 11/10/2011. Construction began in 08/2010. The State of Washington Department of Transportation described the bridge: "The new bridge will be made of concrete and will have variable depth – “haunched” – girders that provide the spans an arched appearance. The haunch will be parabolic (curved) in shape rather than straight lines. This will provide a smoother arch appearance than the Warren Avenue Bridge. The bridge will have seven spans, five of which will be equal length. Each of the six in-water piers will have two columns." (See "Manette Bridge Replacement,"Accessed 11/10/2011.) Compass rose ornamentation will be imprinted on the top of the bridge's 12 concrete piers and 24 other locations.
