The residents of King City initiated classes in their first high school in a temporary building, while this permanent edifice was constructed during 1912-1913.

This Mission Revival high school sprawled on one story over a large site.

Architect Robert Stanton, based in Carmel, CA, designed the King City High School's Neo-classical Auditorium between 1937-1939. Construction was finished in 03/1939 at a total expenditure of $179,000.

Demolished; the high school was torn down in 1968.
