This armory was converted for usage as a theatre beginning in 12/1914 by A. Levis, Susman Mitchell, and W.R. Spaulding. The movie mogul William Fox purchased it for his Fox West Coast chain in 1928. It operated as the first Fox Theatre in Visalia, CA, until the construction of the new Visalia Fox in 1929-1930. This theatre showed its last talkie on 02/26/1930.
