As originally designed, the 2727 Franklin Avenue East Apartment Building was a wood-frame, three-story building covered by a cross-gabled roof. Two banks of two chimneys edged each side of the roof. A gable highlighted the central bay of the front facade; this central bay also featured projecting balconies for apartments on the upper two floors. In 2011, the building's siding was painted off-white, while trim was painted a medium blue. Unit #205, a 1-bedroom, 1-bath, 612-square-foot space, in the 2727 Franklin Avenue East Apartments sold for $190,000 on 05/16/2011. An identical unit one floor up, #305, sold for $199,950 sold on 05/09/2011.
