This tract house development, financed by Capital Company, stood on South Del Mar Avenue near the Mission San Gabriel (1771). An article in the Los Angeles Times on 02/02/1941 described a typical new house in the tract: "This week, Mission Manor features a beautiful three-bedroom home complete with two full baths; covered patio, two fireplaces, living room, dining room, kitchen and breakfast nook, at a total cost, including a 60-foot lot, of less than $5500." Houses with three bedrooms and two baths often priced in the $5,000-$6,000 range in new suburban, Southern CA tracts at this time.
