This simple hall building originally accommodated workers building the Grand Coulee Dam across the state c. 1935. Coupeville bought the surplus dormitory and shipped it to Whidbey Island in 1941.

The Coupeville Recreation Hall underwent remodeling in 1984, and was used in 2009 for community events.
