This playfield, laid out by the Olmsted Brothers landscape design firm of Brookline, MA, lies adjacent to West Seattle High School. Originally called the "West Seattle Playground," by the Olmsteds, it was renamed "Hiawatha Playfield" at the time the park opened in 1911.
