Vallet designed this weekend house for a couple their son, daughter-in-law and friends. It had an International Style aesthetic, reminiscent of the work of Richard Neutra and Rudolph Schindler. The house, sited on a hillside, cost $4,200 to build.

Designer Stanley Vallet arrayed the living areas on two floors, each ribbon window expanses and balconies; the basement contained a garage.
