In 02/2006, the Westport, CT-based developer, Intercorp Development LLC, originally proposed the erection of a 240-foot, 175-unit condominium building located on a .3-acre site in Downtown Seattle, WA. Later in 2006, the City of Seattle revised its height restrictions for most building sites Downtown. Due to these zoning changes and recent dips in the economy, it reassessed its building proposal and decided to propose a 400-foot-tall skyscraper for the same site. In 07/2008, Intercorp CEO, Mike Lierman, publically announced his company's plans for a 432-unit apartment tower on the site where a parking garage once stood at 1915 Second Avenue.
