Building History

Saint Joseph's Catholic Church occupied the northeast corner of Market and San Fernando Streets in 1890. In that year, Rev. F. Bartholomew Calzio served as it pastor. (See San Jose, California, City Directory, 1890, p. 366.)

In 1928, Reverend J.R. Crowley administered this main Catholic seat. (See Polk's Directory of San Jose City and Santa Clara County, 1928, p. 390.)

Renovated in 1994.
