On Monday 09/17/2007, real estate analysts Brailsford and Dunlavy released a report (commissioned by the Mucklesoot Tribe) indicating that a sports arena (hosting primarily an NBA team) located in Auburn, WA, 25 miles south of Downtown Seattle, could be financially viable. The Tribe owned twenty-six acres of land (in three parcels) that it purchased for $3.25 million in 2005. $2.6 million of this price went to Emerald Downs racetrack owner, Ron Crockett, for much of the property. The Muckleshoots offered Seattle Supersonics and Storm Owner, Clay Bennett, this land without cost to build a reported $415 million arena.
