Notes:
"The restaurant was opened in 1937 by Walter Clark, who ran as many as a dozen restaurants in Seattle at the time. According to legend passed down to Pierides, Clark hired Army buddy Harland Sanders, who perfected the fried-chicken recipe there that later made him rich as the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken." This information was not entirely correct. Herman E. Olson was the founder of the restaurant, and Clark's name appeared on an outdoor sign by 1942.
