Notes:
With his Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, American architect Frank O. Gehry reinvoked the sculptural potential of natural stone. In order to realize precisely in stone the bizarre geometries of Gehry's designs, a 3D modeller was used to control various machnes. First, rough shapes were sawn out. Then, the definitive slabs were'bent'in three different directions with the help of milling machines.
