Personal

Relocation

Paul Robert Bocek was born in Bellingham WA in 1920. In 1923, Bocek lived with his family in Bellingham, WA, where his father, Paul, was involved in his two brothers, John and George in Bocek Brothers Logging. The three Bocek Brothers all lived near one another on the Rural Delivery Route #3 in Bellinham according to the Bellingham, WA, City Directory, 1923, (p. 385.) According to the Bellingham, WA, City Directory, 1921, (p. 392), the RD-3 had the following route: "Beginning at Silver Beach on Lake Whatcom, along e shore to Beebe ldg, crossing lake to Manning's Camp, to Woodlawn Agate bay, thence se along e shore to Blue Canyon, w to South bay, returning to point of beginning, following w shore of lake. Total length of route 27 miles."

Bocek's parents lived at 1912 West 5th Street in Aberdeen, WA, in 1930. This residence had been erected in 1927, so the Bocek's were probably its first inhabitants. The Bocek family owned their dwelling, valued at $3,000.
