Relocation

Alfred Nibecker, Jr., was born in Spokane, WA. In 1890, his family lived at 907 South Ash Street in Spokane. They remained here until 1897 or 1898, when they relocated to CA. (His two youngest brothers were born in CA c. 08/1898.) The Nibecker Family resided in Independence, CA, in Inyo County, in 1900.

From at least 1908 until 1910, the Nibecker Family lived at 1435 Valencia Street in Los Angeles. Parents

Alfred's parents married c. 1886. His father, Alfred S. Nibecker, Sr., (born 09/1858 in NY) held several jobs during his life. He operated a grocery store in Spokane, WA, from at least 1890 until 1896, at 801 (later nenumbered 1401) West 2nd Street, (See Spokane, WA, City Directory, 1890, p. 375 and Spokane, WA, City Directory, 1897, p. 661), and for the Great Northern Railway in 1897. (See Spokane, WA, City Directory, 1897, p. 483.) In Independence, CA, he worked as bookkeeper in 1900 and as a shipping clerk in Los Angeles ten years later. His paternal grandfather was born in NY, his paternal grandmother in Germany. His mother, Sallie Yandell (born c. 09/1858 in TN), managed the household, where she raised six children, all sons. They included Robert (born 1888 in CA), Alfred, Jr., Russell (born c. 1893 in WA), Howard Avery (born 06/04/1894 in Spokane, WA), Paul (born 08/1898 in CA), and Wilson Yandell (born 08/1898 in CA).

Spouse

He married Mabel E. Everett (born 10/29/1893 in IA-d. 07/13/1984 in Los Angeles County, CA) on 06/13/1917.

Children

He and Mabel had four children: Alfred Franklin Nibecker (born 01/16-1920 in CA-d. 10/04/2012 in CA), Corrinne Nibecker Banker (born 04/13/1922 in CA-d. 11/16/1993 in Contra Costa County, CA), Robert Curran Nibecker (born 07/17/1926 in CA-d. 02/11/2000 in CA), and Evelyn Nibecker Cutting (born 01/14/1937 in CA).
