Marks assisted in the construction of Hollywood's Grauman's Chinese and Grauman's Egyptian Theatres, Quinby Building, Los Angeles, CA, Douglas Oil Building, Los Angeles, and the Washington Savings and Loan Building, Los Angeles. He was also responsible for the construction of several shopping centers, the Ninth Christian Science Church, and the Lincoln Park Zoo. He also owned land for an industrial park known as the "Marks Industrial Tract."

Marks was born in MO, but lived and worked for a long period in Los Angeles, CA. He died there at age 81.
