Frederick Rochlin wed Harriet Rochlin (b. Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, CA, 1924); the two met each other at University of California, Berkeley, married and returned to live in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles;

RBB Architects credited Rochlin with leading the design of 2,000 projects during his 34 years with the firm. He developed an interest in healthcare design, and supervised design of facilities at the UCLA Medical Center, Westwood, Los Angeles, CA, and the Northridge Hospital Medical Center, Northridge, Los Angeles, CA. He passed away due to complications related to leukemia at age 78.
