Personal

Entenza was gay, and lived by himself in two houses at 475 Mesa Road, Los Angeles, CA, ( built 1937) and 205 Chautauqua Boulevard, Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, CA, (1945-1949). Entenza lived next to Charles (1907-1978) and Ray Eames on Chautauqua Boulevard, but relations between Entenza and the Eames soured over the years. Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen (1910-1961) collaborated on the design of the second house, while Harwell Hamilton Harris (1903-1990) designed the first.
