This Bellevue, WA-baed firm formed from a 1999 merger between Mulvanny Architects and G2 Architecture. Its fortunes have been tied to the rapid growth (during the 1990s-2000s) of the Costco Wholesale Corporation retail chain, founded in Seattle in 1983; Mulvanny G2 had, by 2005, designed most of Costco's 400-plus stores. Additionally, the firm designed many Nike Factory Stores and pursued a great deal of work in China.In 2006, Mulvanny G2 operated offices in Bellevue, WA, Portland, OR, Washington, DC, Irvine, CA, and Shanghai, China.
