Building History

Developer Steven Koehler financed the construction of the 500,000-square-foot Westlake Center mall in Downtown Seattle during the 1980s.

Building Notes

The construction of the Westlake Center encouraged Koehler's daughters, Anne Marie Koehler and Erika Koehler, to take an interest in retail and mixed-use development. In 2019, they were appointed Senior Managing Directors of the firm Newmark Knight Frank.
