This long-time University District franchise ended its lease with the University of Washington, (the new owner of various properties formerly owned by Safeco Insurance Company), in 06/2007.

Demolished; the restaurant was boarded up waiting for demolition in 11/2007; a University of Washington site stated: "The operators of the former IHOP restaurant declined to extend their lease when it expired in May 2007. UW Facilities Services determined that the building is not in good condition and would require substantial capital improvements to make it suitable for University use. The building will be demolished in Fall 2007 and the site will be used as a temporary construction staging area for the duration of the UW Tower Data Center project."
