Building History

Seattle architectural firm of DeNeuf and Heide produced the design for Everett's only Carnegie Corporation-financed library. The Public Library of Everett received a $25,000 grant from the New York philanthropy to build its first dedicated library building; this amount was relatively standard for libraries designed to serve small-to-medium-sized cities and for big-city branch locations.

Building Notes

Everett's Carnegie Library was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, level of significance: Local. Part of the Carnegie Libraries of Washington TR (AD)
