Ewing and Swift owned the lot since 1981; a 1909 bungalow stood on the 30 foot x 112 foot site previously, but--due to its poor condition--could not be easily renovated. They demolished it and erected a two-unit residence, each four stories high. Together, both units contain 4,400 square feet. Robert Miller of Bohlin Cywinski Jackson worked on the design of this house.
