Overview

The Mines Building was located just to the east of the Cascade Court, the water feature that stepped down to the Arctic Circle fountain at the center of the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition (AYPE). The main industries of the state obtained central locations for their pavilions at the fair, the mines located as a pendant directly opposite the Fisheries Building to the west.
